828 ET: Lena Hall wins the Tony for Featured Actress in a Musical. Disney connection? She played Treena on ABC’s All My Children in 2008.
834 ET: Despite being heavily edited and modified, the performance of “Friend Like Me” gets a great reaction at the Tony Awards.
835 ET: Even Marvel is rooting their Disney brother’s to win lots of Tony’s. Here is Marvel’s Agent M reaction to “Friend Like Me”

841 ET: Jonathan Groff (Frozen’s Kristoff) introduced Idina Menzel’s performance from her new musical If/Then. He teased Travolta-gate by repeating Travolta’s “wickedly talented” quote but using her correct name.
844 ET: Clint Eastwood is presenting at the Tony’s due to his directing the film version of Jersey Boys. Rumor has it that during rehearsals he had a paper bag over his head. Anyone get this Disney reference?
849 ET: Kenny Leon, winner for Best Director for a Play has a Disney connection. He directed two episodes of ABC’s Private Practice.
853 ET: Nick Fury introduces the Tony performance of Rocky. Does this mean Wolverine and the Avengers universe have their first crossover?
854 ET: The cast of Aladdin shared their post-performance experience.
901 ET: James Monroe Inglehart wins the Tony Award for Featured Performer in a Musical. for his role as Genie in Aladdin. 906 ET: Did you know? James Monroe Iglehart was last seen on Broadway in the 2009 production of the Tony-winning musical Memphis.
917 ET: In a A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder Jefferson Mays plays all eight of the members of the D’Ysquith family. In addition he portrayed Dr. Roger Kosowski on ABC’s short lived Detroit 1-8-7.
926 ET: Aurda McDonald wins a record 6th Tony Award for Actress in a Leading Role in a Play. She was in The Wonderful World of Disney’s Annie.
929 ET: The Marvel onslaught continues with Bradley Cooper being a presenter. He voices Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy.
931 ET: Bryan Cranston wins the Tony for Leading Actor in a Play. Disney Connection: He voiced Mr. Jamieson in Lilo & Stitch: The Series.
949 ET: All the Way wins the Tony for Best Play. It is the story of LBJ struggle passing a civil rights bill. When Bryan Cranston is unable to perform, they just use the audio-animatronic of LBJ from The Hall of Presidents.
956 ET: After winning the Tony, James Monroe Iglehart revealed what he is going to do next. Go to Disney World? No, he is going to McDonalds. (Although I guess he could go to the one by the All-Stars.)

1003 ET: Sting is performing a song from his musical coming this fall. Don’t get attached to the song. I presume it will be cut like most of his song’s from Emperor’s New Groove.
1008 ET: Best Revival of a Play goes to A Raisin in the Sun. Anika Noni Rose, the voice of Tiana, performs in the current production.
1022 ET: Hugh Jackman, T.I. and LL Cool J just rapped the opening number from The Music Man. (For those only familiar with the Disney version, this is not the normal way it is presented). Josh Gad (Olaf) had this to say about the performance.

1024 ET: Neil Patrick Harris wins the Tony for Leading Actor in a Musical. Apparently you can win an award for hosting the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade.
1039 ET: Hedwig and the Angry Inch wins the Tony for Best Musical Revival. Can’t come up with a Disney connection… can you?
1041 ET: Chicken Little (Zach Braff) introduced the performance of Bullets Over Broadway. I am pretty sure the gangster that took over the Tonys will be gone by the time we reach the Indiana Jones scene.
1045 ET: Scott Weinger, the voice of Aladdin in the animated classic, sent his congratulations to James Monroe Iglehart on his Tony win.

1056 ET: For those waiting for the GIF of James Monroe Iglehart’s winning dance… here it is…
1100 ET: Jennifer Hudson sings a song from the upcoming Finding Neverland musical. Though the show failed in the UK, it is being retooled for Broadway. Jennifer Hudson got her start on the Disney Wonder and is the Godmother of the Disney Dream. The Finding Neverland film was made by Miramax when it was owned by Disney.
1103 ET: The Best Musical award is being presented by Terk from Disney’s Tarzan. The award goes to A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. So that means Aladdin wins one award. Goodnight from New York. Stay tuned to LaughingPlace.com all week for our coverage of E3.
