Join Lightning McQueen in the newly released Cars: Fast As Lightning game for Smartphones and Tablets. Fully immerse yourself in the Cars world from memorable tracks in Radiator Springs, to familiar characters from both the first Cars movie as well as the second. Customizing your tracks, earning coins, and racing are only a few thrilling tasks to complete. For all ages, anyone would enjoy seeing their favorite cars, along with some new characters. With the option to add friends, you can race against people you know on different tracks to earn additional prizes.
This might by my new favorite game!
I’m incredibly fond of the Cars movie, so I was excited to play. This game is extremely user friendly and gives very clear tutorials on what to do and how to complete tasks. If I ever found myself lost on what to do next, you can find Mater and Lightning bubbles near the top left corner, and when clicked on, they help you out. I was also very impressed with the complicated nature of the game. So often, I’ve seen games for kids that are very simplistic, but in this game, not only are you racing against characters from the movie (or for practice, racing other users), you’re also building up Radiator Springs to earn more coins and upgrade your standing.
This game does not require in-app purchases, but they do warn you at the beginning that if you’d like to buy things, it is an option. I found that I could do extra races, build up the town, and complete other challenges to earn coins in the game that help me buy what I need, so I did not utilize the in-app purchase option. Be sure that if your little ones play this game, you have that setting turned off. The only complaint I have about this game is the ease of in-app purchasing if you do not have this setting turned off. At times, I would try to use the coins I earned in the game and would somehow end up at a buying screen, but since my in-app purchasing settings are turned off, I avoided extra charges.
This is a fantastic game that I will continue playing because it’s incredibly addicting. Making my own race tracks was definitely a highlight for me, as well as seeing and racing against familiar characters. This would make for a great family game, or just racing against each other in general. If you know the Cars and have the need for speed, this is the game for you!
