Ever hear the revving engines as you’re parking your car at the Magic Kingdom? I’ve heard them for years but never bothered to check it out until last weekend when we finally made the left turn on the way out (after passing it and backing up like a tourist) and checked it out. There’s no charge to watch, you just need to leave a name and email address. You’ll sit in the infield near where the cars start and end. I’m not sure how fast the cars are traveling but it’s not slow! Some people just ride-along but the real gutsy ones get behind the wheel themselves. You drive by following another car driven by them. You’re supposed to follow their line directly leaving 3 car lengths. If you’re too close, too far or doing anything else wrong, the flag person will let you know as you cross the start/finish line. There’s no passing allowed, so it’s not racing, but it does look like a lot of fun, and it was quite fun to watch as well. We’ve got some pics on LP Lotion if you want to check them out.
