Sorry for the delay getting these done. I was in NYC for the weekend participating in all of the fun with Hurricane Irene. For anyone that thinks this storm was overblown – please feel free to DM me some pictures that were taken over the weekend – all the way up into Vermont where this will go down as one of their greatest flooding disasters. Truly incredible what Mother Nature can bring – and everyone in the sunshine state should be thankful as always for another miss. Don’t let your guard down – we are in the thick of hurricane season now with September generally being a VERY active month.
The biggest complaint I’ve been getting lately is about the heat WHEN WILL IT COOL DOWN?! This is generally the time of year when the day in and day out of 90 degree plus temperature gets to you. My general answer is – October … September is a pretty hot month and it will be another warm week. Highs will top out in the mid 90s today and might slightly cool down as we go through the week – you won’t notice so it doesn’t matter.
The middle of the week looks a little drier than normal for this time of year. I am expecting rain this afternoon – in fact we’ve got heavy showers pushing on shore on the gulf coast right now – I’d expect some early afternoon thunderstorms. Drier air will move into the area Wednesday through Friday so precipitation levels will drop with showers again expected tomorrow.
A brand new tropical depression formed this morning and bears watching – though a few models have Bermuda being targeted.
