Hulu and Tastemade have announced a new partnership that will bring 24 of the television network’s original shows and series to Hulu. Tastemade’s lifestyle programming will begin rolling out to the streaming service later this year.
What’s happening:
- Variety reports that Tastemade has signed a nonexclusive licensing deal with Hulu.
- The television network will provide Hulu with hours of new streaming content from their library of shows and series.
- Tastemade’s programing features original shows about food, cooking, travel and lifestyle. As part of the deal Hulu will air 24 shows from the network, each of which has 8-10 episodes per series.
- Tatstemade’s shows will be available by the end of 2019, however the length of the deal has not been disclosed at this time.
- Highlighted shows from Tastemade available on Hulu include:
- Broken Bread — Chef and food activist Roy Choi explores social-justice issues in the broken food system
- Make This Tonight — How-to cooking show featuring up-and-coming chefs
- Just Jen — Host Jen Phanomrat whips up recipes to cope with different emotions or archetypal character traits
- Heritage — Profiles chefs who are defying traditional culinary rules
- Basic v. Baller — Marko and Alex Ayling (aka The Vagabrothers) travel the globe to explore popular travel destinations on vastly different budgets.
