Disney Cruise Line has decided to skip a stop to San Juan, Puerto Rico on an upcoming Southern Caribbean Cruise on the Disney Fantasy.
What’s happening:
- In light of the recent protests in Puerto Rico, The Disney Cruise Line has adjusted its planned itinerary for the Disney Fantasy.
- According to the Disney Cruise Line Blog, Disney has decided to skip one of the scheduled stops on an upcoming voyage.
- The 11-Night Southern Caribbean Cruise set to sail out of Port Canaveral on July 27, 2019 will no longer be visiting San Juan, Puerto Rico on August 4 as originally planned.
- Instead, the Disney Fantasy will visit St. Thomas, US Virgin Island on that day.
- The Cruise Line Blog says that Disney is “closely monitoring” what’s happening in San Juan and has decided to forego the stop for the safety of guests.

- Guests aboard the Disney Fantasy will now follow this adjusted itinerary:
- 1. Port Canaveral
- 2. At Sea
- 3. At Sea
- 4. Aruba
- 5. At Sea
- 6. Barbados
- 7. Martinique
- 8. Basseterre (St. Kitts)
- 9. St Thomas, US Virgin Islands
- 10. At Sea
- 11. Castaway Cay
- Guests who had already reserved Port Adventures in San Juan will be refunded. Their San Juan reservations will automatically be removed from their guest cruise plans as well.
- Port Adventures will be available in St. Thomas, and guests are encouraged to visit the Port Adventures desk aboard the Fantasy to discover what offerings are available.
- Finally, the difference in fees for San Juan and St. Thomas will be “refunded to the original form of payment.”
