In exactly one year, August 29, 2011, the Resort will open to hotel guests and Disney Vacation Club members. Just for fun, Disney Parks shares a video of how the wild sand sculpture of surfer Mickey was created near the construction site. They report dolphins and turtles were swimming just outside the lagoon while the artists worked.
