The tour continues to the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail. As we pass the Colobus Monkeys our guide describes the conservation and educational efforts of the team at this worksite.

Entering the Pangani Forest our guide encourages us to use various senses in the exploration. He makes note of the sound (beautiful waterfalls), the sights (a family of gorillas) and the smells (undeniable aroma of a gorilla)

Turning the corner along the Pangani Forest path we spot a male gorilla defensively guarding his family. The Wild Africa Trek is following the same course as a day guest at this point but in reverse.

Shortly after we pass the Meerkat exhibit, our guides open a small gate to a narrow path through the dense foliage.
