Disney's Festival of the Masters Marks 25th Anniversary With Montage of Art, Music and Culinary Nov. 10-12

Downtown Disney becomes a canvas for the best of art and music Nov. 10-12 when Walt Disney World Resort presents the 25th annual Festival of the Masters art show and jazz fest.

By day, the shores of Lake Buena Vista throughout Downtown Disney will be awash with the creations of more than 150 artisans from across the country. Beneath a canopy of colorful balloons and kites, artists will display a palette of oil paintings, sculptures, jewelry, watercolors and more during the three-day art show.

The festival also is a treat for the tastebuds. "A Taste of Downtown Disney" features savory samplings from favorite Downtown Disney restaurants served up street-side for a small fee. The menu of participants includes Bongos Cuban Cafe, The Cheesecake Factory, Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop, House of Blues, Fulton's Crab House, Wildhorse Saloon, Rainforest Cafe, Planet Hollywood, Wolfgang Puck Express and Portobello Yacht Club.

At dusk, Downtown Disney Pleasure Island becomes the stage for jazz greats Ken Navarro, Jonathon Butler, the Rippingtons, Norman Brown and more. Nightly performances begin at 7 p.m. at the Pleasure Island Jazz Company, West End Stage and Hub Video Stage.

Downtown Disney West Side joins in this tribute to the arts with the House of Blues' second annual folk art festival, "Where the Art Meets the Soul," Nov. 11-12 from 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. More than 40 artists will be featured. Cirque du Soleil gets into the act with special performances, face painting and a display of costumes and props of La Nouba in front of the Cirque du Soleil Store. The store will also give away prizes each day of the festival. Just down the street from La Nouba, chalk artists will demonstrate the trendy art of chalk drawing.

Festival of the Masters, sponsored by SunTrust, is free and open to the public from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information, contact (407) 824-4321.
