So This Is Love
DRL
DRL is back! What is DRL, you ask? DRL is LaughingPlace Radio's bi-weekly
countdown of the Top 15 Disney songs in a given category as determined you - the
listeners and readers. DRL originally started a many months ago with host Danny
doing a weekly countdown. It then went on a hiatus but has finally returned. The
host is now Trent (a very close, personal friend of Danny's - they even sound
remarkably alike) and the show is now bi-weekly rather than weekly, but that's
about all that's changed.
So be sure to vote in this week's category - Pop Versions. Votes must be in by midnight, Saturday February 15th. The countdown will debut on midnight on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. and repeat on Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. and Saturday at 12:00 p.m. The countdown will then repeat again the following week (remember, a new show debuts every other week). All times are Pacific Time.
So please visit and vote on DRL and listen to LaughingPlace Radio - playing your favorite Disney music 24 hours a day.
Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes
We're making a slight change to how we update LaughingPlace.com every day.
Currently the headlines and main article for the day go up at the same time,
usually in the early evening. Starting on Wednesday, February 12th, the site
will update in the early morning with a new article. Headlines will go up in the
late morning or early afternoon (Pacific Time). Long time readers may remember
this is how we did things for a while about a year and a half ago. Well we're
giving it another try.
This is the Night...
One more note on LaughingPlace Radio. As mentioned a couple of weeks ago,
there's a new show on the station - The Doobie Show. The show features me
talking about Disney news, doing trivia, this day in Disney history, general
chit chat and, of course, playing
Disney music. This week, with Valentine's Day coming up, we're counting down my
favorite Disney love songs. Today will be #8 and #7, Wednesday will be #6 and
#5, Thursday will have #4 and #3 and Friday will have #2 and #1. The Doobie Show
can be heard every weeknight at 10:00 p.m. and repeats on the following weekday
at 10:00 a.m. So tune in and be sure to email me at
[email protected] and let me
know what you think!
And with that, I'll close this week's very short Editor's Report. Remember, Wednesday's story, Bob Gurr's Designer Times, will be online bright and early! Enjoy!
The night will weave its magic spell, When the one you love is near!
