The Fabulous Disney Babe

If you were going to throw a preview of the new Disney's Electrical Parade merchandise, where would you throw it? If you're Disney, the answer is, of course, Walt Disney World in Florida.
Cast Members there got to look at some of Disneyland's offerings: there will be a special lanyard with a card that lights up, and an assortment of pins to go on them. Surprisingly, only a couple of these pins are limited editions. Included: the lighting bug with a bobbing head, the "To Honor America float that *someone* I know calls "the bacon float" (look at its shape!), of course, the Blue Fairy, the logo drum with both Mickey and Minnie standing beside the drum, Peter Pan and Captain Hook on the Pirate Ship, and a few other pins.
There will also be a glowing and flickering assortment of clothing, souvenirs and accessories so that the audience can light themselves up along the parade route as well. One thing they got right with Light Magic was the merchandise. Expect similar with the DEP.
Someone who knows these things did quietly confirm to me that there will be a special Disney's Electrical Parade merchandise event. I don't know when tickets will go on sale. I don't know how much it will cost. I don't know if dinner will be served. I do know that I'll probably go, because I always have fun at Disney events.
Unfortunately, the reactive flicker buttons (they light up in differing light patterns depending on what float/event the wearer is witnessing) that are being introduced for the Walt Disney 100 Years celebration at Walt Disney World are, apparently, not going to appear here on the Left Coast until later.
