Taking the Mickey?
So I guess 69 out of 77 isn't too bad.
It was a beautiful January morning when I had my opportunity to photograph the multitude of mice, some two months after their debut in front of the Kingdom and before their quicker than advertised departure. In the gaining light and vanishing dew I found some fascinating, some not.
The 75 InspEARations are a great idea for an important anniversary, but unfortunately not every guest to Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom held them with the respect they deserved. City Hall said, yes, regrettably, several of the Mickeys had been subject to guest damage, but no, they were unaware that any Mickey's had been added to compensate for the loss. Mmm, I said then why are Circle Vision and Chocolate Mouse not on the list? Subject to change without notice, indeed.
The missing mice were: Jamie Lee Curtis, The Original Mouse Pad; Christy Carlson Romano, Ready for Action; Andre Agassi, Love All; James Gandolfini, Funny Bones; Lamberto Alvarez, El Mickey; Brian McKnight, Music Mouse; Tony Hawk, Mouseskateer and Shaquille O'Neal, Dunk Mouse.
From this collection you'll see which one I would love to buy. You'll find him at the end of the second part.
If you wish to see a select few of the statues they will be on tour in Minneaplois, Dallas, Denver, Kansas City and Houston between August 17th and October 21.
