Saturday came early for me, 4:30 a.m. to be exact. I was to be at the park at 7:00 a.m. for a breakfast in New Orleans Square. Arriving early enough passed through the main gate and made my way towards New Orleans Square. To my surprise festival attendees were the only people being admitted into the west end of the park (it does pay to spend a bit too much money at times) making my way through Adventureland I spied attractions still being worked on from the previous day and then large tables set up with our breakfast. Being awake and out in the open that early in the morning is not my kind of day but the food was enough to warm me up bacon, sausage, fruit, and a wonderful banana french toast (I have requested the recipe so I can attempt the it later for myself and my significant other).
I completed breakfast and headed to the Disneyland Gallery for a chance to view the Gallery of Trees. Since no one had any idea what to expect we were all amazed with that we saw. Trees all over the Gallery decorated in various styles from a Mardi Gras theme to Retro-Mickey, from the Lenox tree to the Pooh tree. This is something I really hope does become a tradition in the Gallery since it adds to the season even more than Disneyland already has. And for people interested, all the trees were available for sale fully decorated for a price of $1,000 to $4,000 (can I get Package Express with that?).

After running around the Gallery for a while I thought it was time to head down to the Artists Tables for a little more conversing with the artists and photos of the artists with their creations. A definite must for my tree next year will be ornaments from Pilgrim Glass and Radko. Pilgrim Glass featured some beautiful hand-blown ornaments depicting various winter scenes and in the coming year will be ornaments of various Disney characters. As for the Radko ornaments, I had never been a real fan of them until I was able to view a video of the creation of these marvelous pieces now I have had my eyes opened to the beauty and artistic process behind these ornaments.
