Delmond and Mo at the Disney-MGM Studios
I don't know if these guys are new, but they're new to me. The characters are
bell hops from the Hollywood Tower Hotel. They start out by trying to load and unload the
suitcases onto their rolling cart and finally just give up. Then they place buckets out
into Sunset Blvd, to mark out the break area. They lounge around while they take their
break and they tell everyone else to relax and enjoy breaktime. Next they start messing
around with the buckets and trying to outdo each other in juggling. Then Mo does the
teeter board on the buckets while trying to juggle. The process in which he gets up on the
teeter board is rather comical. After Mo gets up there, Delmond decides he wants to try
it, so he gets someone from the audience to help out. Delmond puts the person through a
few challenges as he gets ready to balance himself on the teeter board. They spin a plate
on the guests head, while they juggle the clubs. After this they get four people from the
audience and have them sit on the buckets. Then they tell them to cross their arms and lay
back into the lap of the person behind them. Delmond and Mo start saying the buckets are
getting crushed and that is when they start pulling the buckets out one by one. It is
rather hysterical and even the unfortunate guests are laughing! After they get the guests
untangled, they pack up and leave. Later they were spotted doing a different act. They are
well worth checking out!
Downtown Disney Carousel
Late last year a carousel was added to the Downtown Disney Village Marketplace
between the Gourmet Pantry and Pooh Corner. Rides are $2. Children under 42" tall
must be accompanied by an adult (in which case the adult is free). The top of the carousel
has paintings of scenes from Downtown Disney. There is also a tea cup type seat where
riders can sit and spin the cup as the carousel goes around. The horses are in different
colors and there are a couple of non-horse seats as well.
