On Saturday, February 12th, a Royal Celebration was held in the Grand Ballroom of the Disneyland Hotel to celebrate Cinderella's 50th anniversary. In this article we'll take you through the entire day evening including the merchandise available, the dinner, the performances, panel discussion and the rest of the celebration.
Cinderella's 50th Anniversary Celebration began with registration at 10:00 a.m. at the Disneyland Hotel. Many collectors gathered early in the morning for the opportunity to add Cinderella artwork and collectibles to their collections. There were items in varying price ranges from one-of-kind Eric Robison original artwork of Jaq and Gus for $5,900 to a $12 enamel logo pin limited to 1950, the year Cinderella was released. Collectors were limited in the quantity they could purchase of many of the limited edition items until 10:30p that evening to allow guests arriving later in the day an opportunity to purchase some of the items. The merchandise was displayed in a small meeting room adjacent to the Grand Ballroom where the dinner and ball were held.
