Four new Disney characters have been created for Kingdom Hearts. They are delineated in a style that will be familiar to fans of Final Fantasy™.

Sora, our hero, is fourteen years old. He lives a carefree life on a tropical island with his friends, until a violent storm shatters this paradise. His simple daily routine now is turned to locating his friends, Riku and Kairi.

Sora's speaking voice will be provided by Haley Joel Osment of "The Sixth Sense," "A.I," and Disney's upcoming feature "The Country Bears." SquareSoft will recreate the mouth movements on each character to match the new English speaking voices.

Riku is Sora's best friend. One year older than Sora, Riku is a bit more complicated. He questions their placid existence, and even flirts with the dangerous characters they encounter.
