Finally, a tantalizing glimpse at phase three of the Wonderland series was detailed:

--Hawaiiannette, a classic recording by America’s Girl Next Door, at the height of her work with legendary Disney producer Tutti Camarata.

Tutti Camarata in October, 2003, when he was named a Disney Legend

--A Musical Tour of France, which promises Maurice Chavalier’s recordings of the Sherman Brothers standards it’s a small world and Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow, performed in French;

--Meet Me Down on Main Street, a Disneyland Classic featuring the Mellomen (who were memorably heard in Lady and the Tramp, and who counted Thurl Ravenscroft among its members); and

--The Parent Trap soundtrack.

Thornton concluded by saying he was working on getting the soundtrack of Lady and the Tramp and other classic Disney animated features for future release. This prompted Hodgkins to ask just how these were being made available to the public. Thornton stated that it was still in an experimental stage. He said that the public kiosks were still undergoing change. He also described his frustration over the lack of clear signs to explain what was available. Presently, he said, the kiosks are like listening stations. Some of the product was available on the shelves of the shop, other product carries small banners that read “not available in stores.? These are “burned? in the store as they are ordered. Thornton hopes to eventually separate the store stock from the Wonderland material, and create a stand alone burning station. this would also work in conjunction with improved technology to speed up the process. “We are working to make this faster, easier, and more efficient,? he said.

Thornton did express pleasure at the public reaction so far. “It’s doing a lot better than what they anticipated,? he said, referring to the merchandising team for Main Street. In fact, he said, the store is clamoring for more vintage titles. Thornton warned that after the next wave appeared, there may be a slow down in new titles, as he alone was doing all the technical work. (He also mentioned that he was trying to add the Disney Storytellers series to a future phase.)

Kiosks are presently available in the 20th Century Music Shop on Disneyland’s Main Street.)

Hodgkins asked if there was a release date for the Disneyland box set Thornton had mentioned. The anticipated date of release for the six CD set is May 5, 2005. Among the anticipated inclusions would be the first ever release of Adventure Thru Inner Space, assuming all licenses could be cleared, and performers paid.
