We hit the Magic Kingdom. I figured it was only appropriate, because it was the first park there and so that Kori could compare it to what she already knew about Disney parks, which was limited to Disneyland Park and Disney's California Adventure. While parking at the Ticket & Transportation Center, we were right behind a vehicle that had "Just Married" with our wedding date marked on the back window! We congratulated the newlyweds and snapped a picture with them – which I'm not going to share because I didn't ask for their permission to put it here, where hundreds of millions of people will see it.

The first thing we did when we got to the Magic Kingdom was buy a groom top-hat with Mickey ears and a bridal cap with Minnie ears. Okay, it was the second thing we did. The first thing was rent a wheelchair for Kori, which we did frequently while visiting the parks. Later, we got the ears inscribed. Mine said "Kori's Husband" and "Dec. 4, 2004" and Kori's said "Ken's Wife" and "Dec. 4, 2004". Boy, did THOSE every get us attention - and free deserts. Free desert was just what I needed, too – it's what I needed to get fatter and frustrate my physician.

We were able to see "The Hall of Presidents" (Kori is a history buff), the Buzz Lightyear attraction – which had not come to California yet, Space Mountain, The Carousel of Progress, Stitch Encounter, the Peoplemover, Mickey's Philharmagic, and the Tiki Room.

While we had stopped for lunch at Cosmic Ray's, we had dinner off-property. Kori had been eager to hit Steak & Shake. Having gone to school in Illinois, she had been accustomed to eating there, and during a whirlwind trip we took through Illinois earlier in the year, we had been unable to stop at one.

Me, I'm always up for trying out different places to eat. I think that's obvious from the pictures.

Since our room had a refrigerator and some semblance of kitchen, we also hit Publix for such essentials as coffee supplies (the wife is addicted), BBQ-flavor chips, Advil, and Chex Caramel Crunch. Is there any other supermarket chain in the area? Publix is all I have ever seen around there.

We remembered Pearl Harbor by visiting that paean to world peace and harmony, Epcot - or whatever they're calling that park now. What is an "Epcot", by the way? I know EPCOT.

Even though it replaced one of my favorite attractions in the world, Kori and I rode Mission: Space. It had not been completed when I had last visited. Kori likes thrill rides, and this was no exception. It was better than I thought it would be, even though it is presented as a training facility and not "you are really going into space." Why take guests into space or to a drive-in theater when you can simply tell them they're in a training facility or on a soundstage? Despite this cop-out, we ended up buying matching shirts in the exit gift shop.

When we took a spin on Test Track, we ended up getting stuck on the banking turn over the entrance. There we were, stuck at 57-degree angle – or whatever it was, waving down to the crowd below. It was a very good simulation of traffic on the I-5. At least we were given another drive.

We had lunch in the Biergarten in Germany. It is no coincidence that the place is all-you-can-eat. Jana was our pleasant hostess.

It was great to take Kori to see one of my favorite attractions – The American Adventure. That show is always amazing to watch, and since Kori is, as I noted about, a history buff, she really appreciated it.

We stayed at Epcot until after 7:30pm, before heading for our late dinner at O'hana. O'hana is one of my favorite restaurants in the world. Anthony was our host, and we had a sweetheart table right along the window. Enjoyed a delicious meal and was able to see the huge pyrotechnics show set off during the private party at the Magic Kingdom. It was a definite honeymoon moment.
