Finally it looks like Paradise Pier will be the home to another Pixar-inspired attraction. Woody's Roundup has been touted as a possible addition to Frontierland but it now seems likely that the Toy Story cowboy will be appearing behind the Games of the Boardwalk area in late 2007. Several concepts have been created by the Blue Sky Team at WDI but at present the project is still under development. A similar concept to sit beneath and beside California Screamin' is an as-of-yet un-named Midway-inspired shoot-"em up (think the Frontierland Shooting Arcade) that could be blended into the Woody's Roundup dark ride concept. It seems WDI are keen to add another family-friendly experience into the park and Paradise Pier has been touted as its home (fitting as the area is home to height-restricted or nausea-inducing attractions like Mulholland Madness and Maliboomer).

Beyond those projects it seems likely that DCA will continue on the place-making scheme. Golden State is to be largely unscathed from the makeover but both Pacific Wharf and Paradise Pier are to have significant alterations in the future. Many of these new projects stretch beyond the Place-Making project and are part of a new five-year development plan for DCA that Team Disney Anaheim believes is essential to the success of the second gate in the run-up to its tenth birthday.

Much like most of Disney's theme parks DCA is a work-in-progress. Granted none of the existing eleven theme parks has been as fundamentally altered as DCA (and only five years into its existence) but the park remains one of the ten most visited in the US. DCA has become the outlet for WDI creativity of late and promises to continue to be the focus for the US design team.
