Fitzgerald then offered a sneak preview of some of the technology that has been developed for the individual games. Explaining that these video tests were of work in progress, a sampling of various games was shown. Fitzgerald pointed out some of the details of the games, as well as some tips and tricks that would come in useful next year.

FINDING NEMO: SUBMARINE VOYAGE
Finally, it was time to turn to the subject of the day, the Finding Nemo:
Submarine Voyage. Fitzgerald offered a brief overview of the attraction’s
history, as well as a look at the new high touch Pixar story, and high tech
innovations used to bring the characters, and their story, to the Disneyland
classic.
TURTLE TALK WITH CRUSH
As Fitzgerald finished his presentation, a large sea turtle with a familiar
voice swam onto the main screen. It was Nemo’s friend Crush, there to chat with
the assembled media. After being gently chastised for interrupting the
proceedings, Crush greeted and talked with a couple of nonplussed journalists,
and then invited the crowd to join him at the submarine lagoon, to check out the
“yellow, mondo-ginormous whales.�?

As the strains of the Beatle’s “Yellow Submarine�? filled the theater, the lights came up, and the crowd moved out for the dedication of Finding Nemo: Submarine Voyage.
