So I was watching ABC's "Brothers & Sisters" and there was a serious scene where parents were telling the kids that Daddy was moving out. Daddy said nothing was going to change and that on weekends they would go over to his place and do something special. Then the little 4 year old boy asks, "Can we go to California Adventure?" I couldn't stop laughing. The dramatic moment was ruined. I am all for synergy but this was a little forced.
Of course this could be ABC's way of getting DCA some positive spin on TV. They are going against FOX and The Simpsons which mentioned DCA on two occasions. In one episode, Marge Simpson states that she doesn't think prison is "a great place to bring the children", and Lisa replies "It still beats Disney's California Adventure." In another episode, Homer pretends to hide his fugitive mother "someplace where there's nobody for miles, Disney's California Adventure" I know the Simpsons will be in a competing park, but do they have to be so mean. I mean DCA still beat Universal Hollywood in attendence
