Meet the New Bottom Line

Hey guys, have you heard about this new movie coming out?  It is "Annual Report 2" from Buy N Large Pictures. Doug Witherspoonhead from BNL Weekly calls it "Astounding" saying that "Annual Report 2 is filled with heart, humor, and pie charts".  Mr Bubbles from KWBNL Wacky Movie News says, "I am still lamenting the fact that the film ever ended", and Don Don from BnL Press says it is "the first feel good summer blockbuster in winter"  I can't wait to see this movie.  Of course my excitment is because the movie is from Buy N Large Pictures a division of Buy N Large, my favorite company.  I am especially fond of their inovations within robotics.  Sall-E vaccumes my house, Gar-E takes care of my yard, and Wend-E does my wash.  Buy N Large Robotics is also developing Peet-E(Pet Enhancing Electronic Technology – Earth-class) to take care of pets.  But I also hear a rumor that BNL(us Buy N Large fans love our acronyms) is working on a new bot called Waste Allocation Load Lifter – Earth-class(Wall-E for short) that will help clean earth.  Those great folks at Buy N Large are really living up to their slogan, "At Buy N Large we want you to leave your life to us"

Moving on to my second favorite company, Disney.  At Comic-con, Disney announced they will be releasing one Narnia film each May, with the intention of making 7 films total.  That is quite an undertaking.  In addition, it also means that one major piece of Disney's release schedule has been filled for the next few years.  As Disney expanded the definition of what a Disney film can be, all sorts of films became possible.  However there are only so many spots in the calander to release them.  With Pixar putting out a film a year, Walt Disney Animation Studios releasing one about every eighteen months, Robert Zemeckis' Imagemovers Digital winding up production, and now an annual Narnia film, the schedule is getting a little crowded.  I hope that this plethora of films in production will decrease the amount of mediocre films Disney feels the need to produce.  We only need so many "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen" type films.

Quick Takes:

Parks and Resorts: The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that the All Star Cafe at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex is closing September 23rd and reopening November 20th as a quick service resteraunt.  I can't say I am surprised, the place was always deserted.  Though I am sad, because it was one place I was guranteed never to have to wait for a table.

Media Networks:  When Dave Annabele got cast as Justin on ABC's "Brothers & Sisters", he was actually rehiring with The Walt Disney Company.  The Orlando Sentinel reports that he worked at Walt Disney World as part of the College Program.  I know there are a few Candlelight narrator slots open.  I think it would be great if Dave from New York, since he was a cast member I use just his first name and hometown, would return to Walt Disney World to lead the cast choir in telling the story of Christmas.  Just a thought.

Disney Consumer Products:  It looks like Disney and Costco have decided not to release their Ratatouille inspired wine.  I think that is probably the best move.  While I know Disney is popular with folks of all ages, it seems odd to have an animated character endorsing a wine.  If you really need your Disney wine fix though, you can always get the wine the is inspired by "The Year of a Million Dreams" at a Walt Disney park and resort near you.  (Not the Magic Kingdom or Disneyland though).
