Well you have heard about the crazy things going on with Hannah Montana concert tickets. From dads dressing in drag to win tickets to the attorney generals of several states investigating the unfair practices of ticket brokers, you don't need to look far to see how far Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus mania has gone. You can check out this ABC News story from World News for details on how crazy things have gotten. With over 63 million unique viewers watching the show on Disney Channel and her new album premiering number one on the Billboard charts, Hannah and Miley are joining High School Musical as certified Disney Channel phenoms. Lucky for us Disney is trying to satisfy the demand. The Walt Disney Studios announced they will film the sold out concert and release it for one week in Disney Digital 3D in select theaters. There is also buzz of a full fledged Hannah Montana feature film that is reported to be filmed after the concert tour ends. As Disney fans we might not appreciate how much a part of children's lives Hannah Montana is, however I have no doubt that in fourty years Miley will be a guest at Disney fan conventions.
Quick Takes:
Parks and Resorts: I want to congratulate Liz Hetzel and David Gill as the 2008 Disneyland Resort Ambassador Team. In 2008 Liz and David will get to see the second Year of a Million Dreams, the opening of Toy Story Mania, and the start of the transformation of Disney's California Adventure. I wish them the best.
Studio Entertainment: The WGA membership authorized the union to call a strike if necessary. Last time there was a possible strike, Disney greenlit a lot of bad movies that ended up being dumped in no man's land. Anyone remember Frank McKlusky, C.I? Didn't think so. With the studio's new quality over quantity approach, it will be interesting to see how Disney will deal with this possible work stoppage.
Consumer Products: The Kirsite Kelly bridal line expands with the "Blossoms" line for flower girls. I never imagined the success of the line. But I am a bachelor so what do I know.
Video of the Day: Today's video is the report from World News regarding Hannah Montana which is on ABC News' snazzy new video player.
