The Polynesian Village Resort refurbishment is now in full swing with the lobby area being redone and the outward expansion into the Seven Seas Lagoon of the DVC Bungalows, in a few years this hotel will be a shell of what is was.
First lets take a look at the outside of the Great Ceremonial House
This wall is hiding the work area for the removal of the Poly Falls path
Inside the lobby walls are fully up around not only Poly Falls, the former Wyland Gallery, but also the corner of the lobby that leads out to the area above.
Closest to the check in area they have added concept art to decorate the wall, the last 2 of which are new.
On the second floor they added a character photo spot to the wall and have closed Trader Jack’s, the smaller gift show.
Also added to the wall on the upper floor are many more pieces of concept art.
The actual grounds of the Poly have become a maze of green fences with signs directing you, at times, to no where. But for now the Nanea Volcano Pool still stands in all it’s beauty.
But what is learning behind it is really what most people are looking forward to the DVC Bungalows.
That will do it for our visit to the Poly, but before saying Aloha lets take a final look at what the hotel grounds did look like.
