Frozen fans rejoice! Christmas has arrived at the Magic Kingdom with Olaf and the Frozen gang appearing nightly at the Magic Kingdom’s brand new castle lighting show, A Frozen Holiday Wish. Frozen characters Princess Ana, Queen Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf are visiting Walt Disney World but they have noticed that something is missing –the ice, snow and freezing cold weather are nowhere in sight. With the help of the audience’s “snow and ice!” chant, Queen Elsa is persuaded to work her magic, granting the audience’s wish and transforming Cinderella’s castle into a stunning icy palace with a finale that includes snow (soap?) falling over the audience. The Frozen anthem, “Let it Go”, is not part of this show although there are a few notes of it mingled into the background of the Christmas music.
As a Frozen fan, I adored this show which is best viewed near the Forecourt Castle Stage. “A Frozen Holiday Wish” show is scheduled every night through early January as follows:
6:15 p.m. and at 7:30 p.m. on evenings without the “Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party”
6:15 p.m. on evenings when “Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party” is scheduled.
Olaf and Princess Ana charm Queen Elsa, persuading her to transform Cinderella’s castle, bringing winter to Magic Kingdom.
Queen Elsa casts a magical Frozen spell as the castle twinkles and comes to life in shades of pink, purple, blue and white.
And with a few fireworks, the castle is revealed!
Olaf LOVES it!
