Frozen on Ice is extremely popular and the majority of the shows are sold out. This means there will be LOTS of crowds! So, to make sure you have the best possible experience, I have compiled a list of tips to help you and your loved ones survive the Frozen on Ice extravaganza.
1. Before you purchase tickets full price on ticketmaster.com, take some time to search out some coupon codes. Normally you can find these codes at participating grocery stores or if you are a Disney Visa card member you can get exclusive coupon codes.
2. Take public transportation to and from the event. I know that this may not be possible in all areas, but if you are able to take public transportation this is the way to go! Not only do you not have to worry about navigating all the traffic at the event site but you will not have to worry about the exurbanite parking fees.
3. Arrive Early! I cannot stress this enough!! For my trip to Frozen on Ice, I arrived 45 minutes to show start and it was perfect. I was able to relax while going through the purse check and ticket gates. Plus, arriving early ensure you have time to visit the photo op (a picture with a cardboard Anna and Elsa with a Frozen background), get your Disney on Ice snacks, and visit the souvenir stands.
4. Use the bathrooms before the show begins opposed to during intermission. I understand that little ones may have to use the restroom at both times, but try to avoid leaving your seat during intermission. This is when lines are the longest at concession stands, souvenir stands, and the bathrooms. If you follow the advice above, you will have plenty of time to use the restroom and still visit all the other stands. You don’t want to be waiting in a line for the bathroom when the second act begins.
5. If you have little ones with you, pack a Frozen themed goodie bag. Visit Five Below, Party City, and Disney Store to pick up some fun (and no too expensive) Frozen items; stickers, candy, coloring books, toys, lip balm, etc. When you get to the event and your kiddies see the souvenir stands, present them with their goodie bags! Hopefully, this will help staunch their cries of “I want…” To be honest, the majority of the souvenir items are extremely expensive and not worth the money.
6. There will be seat kicking…be prepared. Even the most well behaved young ones will kick the back of your seat. The music, excitement, and fun of the show are just too much to resist!
7. This is the most important tip….be patient! There will be tons of people and children at this event. Everyone will be in a rush and excited for the show. Pushing and shoving may ensue. The best thing you can do is just be patient. Don’t worry, you will get your Olaf snow cone and Frozen light spinner. Just take a deep breath and remember you are there to enjoy yourself and have fun!
Hope these tips come in handy for your Frozen on Ice performance! Good Luck and enjoy the day!
