The first is this Ezra figure…
The sculpt is great, and the paint application is very clean…
He comes packaged with his light saber…
The figure is advertised as a 12 inch figure, but Ezra clocks in at just 10 inches. He is a younger character however, so the size discrepancy simply keeps him in scale with taller figures. The downside to the figure is in the articulation…there’s very little. Hip joints, shoulder joints, neck, and wrists. Now that doesn’t sound bad, but with his straight arms, there’s very little action in this action figure…
Articulation, or the lack there of aside, at $12.99 this figure is well made and great for kids. I don’t recommend it if you’re looking for a figure to display on the shelf…his pose is just to static to make a nice display piece.
Next up is this 22 piece Star Wars Command set…
I had seen these Command sets on shelves, but really hadn’t taken a very close look at them. I was under the impression it was some sort of game involving little plastic figures and vehicles. Examining the back of the box, there are other sets…
I opened the package, laid out all the figures, and discovered that there were no instructions for the game. Turns out it wasn’t a game at all. Well, not in the classic sense. A game can indeed be played, it just so happens that the rules are whatever you decide they are.
The figures, for their size, are nicely detailed…
And this particular set came with an exclusive gold Ezra, and silver Inquisitor…
The ships are slightly larger, and come on stands…
This set included two rolling bases that the ships attach to so that you can send your ships flying into enemy territory…
My kids have been enjoying these figures, and $21.99 isn’t a bad price for a bunch of Star Wars themed army men!
Finally, let’s take a look at the Inquisitors Lightsaber…
The back of the package shows that this is a multi function Lightsaber!
Let’s pop open the box and check this thing out! First up is the Force Disc…
Followed by the hilt, I love this sabers design…
The blades themselves are detachable, and partially retractable…
Once extended the individual sabers are 22 inches long…
Fully assembled this thing is a monster at 4 and a half feet long!
Sadly, this saber lacks the one detail that most of the other toy Lightsabers include…it doesn’t light up. That’s my only real complaint, and that’s not saying much, because I love this toy, it’s beautiful and I’m having…I mean my kids are having a blast playing with it! $29.99 you say? Take my money!
