With the success from it’s past Story Theater apps, Disney has released Frozen Story Theater for iOS devices, a fantastic new app featuring all your favorite characters from Frozen! Like the prior similar apps, your children (or, let’s face it, you can’t NOT try it for yourself…) can use their imagination to make their favorite parts from Frozen come to life by customizing scenes, props, music, the list goes on and on.
It was not hard to gasp and ooh and aah over this app! With three options, you can view past stories, create your own, and also have free play- more like a puppet show where you can record your own narration. I loved that when you build a story, you can choose your character and scene from the movie and the narrator reads the story out for you and gives you the option to record your own voice to the story. Another little touch that I absolutely loved, was that the characters have a little animation like blinking and facial movements. So magical!
If you aren’t familiar with these Story Theater apps, I strongly suggest taking a look! It’s so magical to watch and create your own flair in this story, but something I really liked was the section for parents that include a guide to further immerse your children in the story by asking questions and suggesting using character voices in their recordings.
This is app is another big win in my house! I’m all for Frozen Fever, and not only does this engage my daughter, I love the storybook feel to it to encourage her love of books and reading. Take a look at it here, and enjoy!
