At D23 the Disney Consumer Products pavilion was full of exciting things you could get your hands on, and see what would be coming to a park or store near you soon. To make it easier to see the flow of things, I’ll take you through the booths in the order they were listed in the souvenir guide.
At the PLAYMATION section they were showing off Marvel’s Avengers, which definitely looks exciting to play. The goal is to take you inside of the game, where you will be joining The Avengers in their fight against Ultron. They were allowing you to try it out, and it looks to be good, as they’re calling it the world’s smartest play system. Hopefully it will live up to that title when it releases to the public!
Marvel had a decently large section that showed both “Collecting the Universe” and “Show Your Marvel Style”. The “Show Your Marvel Style” section was focused on clothes relating to certain characters or series, as well as accessories and other things you’ll be able to take with you. The “Collecting the Universe” showed several of the toys relating to the Marvel universe, especially the higher end Hot Toys and Kotobukiya figures.
“Celebrate the Power of Possible with Disney Imagicademy” was another section, this time geared toward the younger audience. It focused on the series of apps Disney has designed for learning in fun ways where you feel like you’re creating and actually doing something while you learn.
“Disney Publishing’s Digital Discovery Zone” was a small area showing the world of innovative storytelling with a series of digital experiences. Every hour they had a Disney Shout! Trivia game where you could win prizes.
