Now is the time! Now is the best time! It’s time for Disney to start making Tsum Tsums based on theme park characters. What’s that you say? They already do? (saaaaaaay whaaaaaaaaat?). Who knew?
Actually… I knew. As a big fan of Duffy the Disney Bear, I was delighted to find a mini and medium Tsum Tsum version of him while visiting Walt Disney World last May. When I saw him, I made a high pitch squeal that lasted for a solid minute and caused a Cast Member to ask if I was having a seizure. But I wasn’t, I was fine. I was better than fine because my life was that much closer to being complete. Ahhh… nirvana…
So that’s it, he’s the only one. What’s that you say? There’s more? Well, only if you live in Japan or Hong Kong. Outside of the United States, Duffy has a girlfriend named Shellie Mae and she’s a Tsum Tsum, too! Suh chute!
Hong Kong’s Mystic Manor features an adorable monkey named Albert. He is the third and final Disney Parks Tsum Tsum. I think I might just cry…
Suh that’s it? C’mon, Disney Parks! Let’s see some other characters. I personally would be thrilled to see the Hitchhiking Ghosts transformed into plushy tubes of goodness. In my online quest to find others who feel like I do, I stumbled upon Jou Ling Yee, a talented artist/Disney fan/Tsum Tsum aficionado who has made artwork of what some of these characters could look like!!! (You should totally follow her on Twitter for more, including a Disney Afternoon set!!!)
