“Well, well, well. What have we here? Sandy Claws, huh? Oh boy, I’m really scared!”
If you play Disney Tsum Tsum, then you know that the popular, sold out, hard-to-get Sandy Claws plush Tsum Tsum is now part of the game. And he is SPOOKtacular!!! But to get him, you have to play Trick-Or-Treat… No, I’m not encouraging you to go door-to-door this Saturday asking strangers for candy. I’m talking about the candy-collecting activity within the Tsum Tsum game.
To get to card number 3, you need to complete cards 1 and 2 first. The game ends Saturday, October 31st, so if you haven’t started yet you’ve got a lot of playing to do. While the number of candies needed is the same, I found it much harder to get them this time around. It seemed that I rarely got candy, but always got coins and skill tickets. Cry along with me in this gallery of just a few of my trials and tribulations on my quest to get to 20 candies.
Le sob! Do you feel the heartbreak? But never fret, I persevered. I came, I Tsum Tsum’d, I conquered. Alas, a third pumpkin full of inedible candy that made my blood sugar weak with anticipation of sweets that would never come.
CLEAR! YAAAAAAS KWEEN! Behold, the mystical gift box…
“Just a box with bright-colored paper
And the whole thing’s topped with a bow
A bow? But why? How ugly?
What’s in it? What’s in it?
That’s the point of the thing, not to know.”
GET!!!!! ! !!! ! ! !
First thing to notice is that while Jack in a Santa Hat is universally known as Sandy Claws, the game calls him “Holiday Jack.” He’s been lumped in with the same namesake as Mickey and friends in Christmas attire. But have no fear, this is not simply the same Jack Tsum Tsum with a festive hat.
“For a short time Tsum Tsum will be deleted automatically!”… WHAT??? Yes, Holiday Jack’s skill is remarkable. When you activate it, time stands still. Spooky music plays as chains of Tsum Tsums are mysteriously connected at random while you get a brief break. Here’s a gallery of a few screen shots all from the same activated skill.
Sandy Claws, or Holiday Jack, is one of the best Tsum Tsums that ever did Tsum. Don’t miss your chance to get him this Halloween. And don’t forget next Tuesday is Tsum Tsum Tuesday featuring Peter Pan!!!! Or is it Tsum Tsum Tsuesdays? If Tsuesday is pronounced Tuesday, then Tsum Tsum is pronounced Tum Tum. Food for thought…
