Are you planning on seeing the new Disney Pixar film The Good Dinosaur? Prepare yourself for the movie by playing this fun new app called Dino Run where you can discover a world of danger and adventure with Arlo and Spot!
Categorized as a hopper-style game, you play as Arlo — a friendly Apatosaurs — and his little neanderthal friend, Spot. Players have the option to choose between three different types of gameplay: Journey mode, Endless mode or Berry Bonanza mode. All are fun choices! Additionally, you have the ability to connect your progress and updates to Facebook and even share snapshots from the game on your feed.
I enjoyed Journey mode the most. I did have a hard time getting the hang of directing Arlo through the game at first, but those of you that have experience with hopper games will be more accustom to the way characters move through the game. You travel across the world while avoiding obstacles such as pterodactyls, rolling haystacks, rivers and more. As you progress, you get power-ups such as red and blue birds and other special items that help you slow down time, shield yourself, and unlock new characters from the movie.
This is a cute and fun app to introduce you to this new movie! I definitely think that Spot will be my favorite character based on this game. The best part? Right now, Dino Run is free to download!
