They’re Not Ghostbusters, They’re Google — Google Street View Brings Cameras to WDW

Who among us hasn’t enjoyed looking up our own addresses or those of friends (or sometimes exes — we won’t judge) on Google Street View? Well now that same simple joy seems to be coming to Walt Disney World.

Blog Mickey reports that Google “Trekkers” equipped with towering backpack cameras have recently been and will continue to roam the outdoors areas of the resort for inclusion on the Street View service. Some Tweeters have even shared images of the cameras in the parks (how meta, right?)

There’s been no announcement as to when the WDW images will hit the web but rest assured that, when they do, people will not only enjoy taking cyber strolls through the parks but will also search for humorous “Easter eggs” and other errors. Previously, virtual guests could visit Walt Disney World via Google Earth which provided 3D versions of the parks. However, these looked more like video games than actual photos:

So who’s excited to explore the parks from their desks? Where will you visit first?
