Of all the work being done to reshape Disney’s Hollywood Studios, one of the larger projects is the removal of Catastrophe Canyon which was a feature of the now-defunct Studio Backlot Tour.
Before lands themed to Toy Story and Star Wars were announced for the park, many rumors indicated that an East Coast version of Carsland would be coming that would have presumably made some use of the Canyon. Instead, demolition of the canyon has now begun as crews work to remove the large set pieces and impressive rock work:
