Disneyland Resort guests seeking a respite from the typical afternoon fare at the theme parks can avail themselves of a traditional “high tea” at the Disneyland Hotel. Classic Afternoon Tea is offered at Steakhouse 55 from noon to 3pm. Guests can choose between the Classic Tea Party and the Premium Tea Party, with a Kids Tea Party option as well.

Reservations are highly recommended for this event. Groups can be accommodated with advance notice. After arriving at Steakhouse 55 guests are ushered into the dining room, where tables are laid with crisp linen and full table settings. Orders are then taken.
The Classic Tea Party consists of scones, tea sandwiches, desserts and assorted teas. The two scones are accompanied by a fruit preserve, Devonshire cream and lemon curd. Tea sandwiches are one each of cucumber and watercress, salmon gravlax, deviled egg salad, and caprese with heirloom tomato. For dessert guests are served a mini fruit tart, assorted macarons, and a chocolate dipped strawberry. The Premium Tea Party includes all of the menu items found in the Classic Tea, as well as a glass of sparkling wine, a baby gem lettuce salad with green goddess dressing, and a farewell truffle. For younger guests, the Kids Tea Party offers a different sandwich selection: PB&J, cucumber, and ham and cheese. Chocolate chip scones and dessert are included.
A variety of teas are on the menu, and guests are encouraged to try more than one. Traditional teas include English Breakfast, Russian Earl Grey and Perfect Afternoon. Among the caffeine-free selections are organic peppermint leaves, Redbush Caramel Velvet, organic chamomile flowers, Mandarin Rooibos and Mountain Berry. Tea aficionados can also try the Eros, Osmanthus Flower, or Chakra Silver Tips teas. The menu also includes aperitifs, wines by the glass, and ports and cordials, available for a separate charge.
Guests who choose the Premium Tea Party take home a Decadent Chocolate Truffle.
The cost for the Classic Afternoon Tea is $50 for the Classic Tea Party, $65 for the Premium Tea Party and $35 for the Kids’ Tea Party. Gluten-free and vegan options are available on request. For reservations, guests should visit Disneyland.com/dine or call 714-781-DINE.
