For a few more days Disney Springs is celebrating Christmas in July with a lot of special offerings from sweet treats at Goofy Candy Co. and holiday apparel to a chance to meet Santa at the Disney Days of Christmas shop.
A few good boys and girls were also given a sneak peek of some of the Christmas in December (we know that it really starts the day after Halloween) including some of the merchandise offerings and a abbreviated version of the Disney’s Yuletide Fantasy tour.
First, we will take a look at some of the offerings coming this holiday season to the Walt Disney World Resort brought to us by Disney’s own Santa Clause Steven Miller. He wants to remind you all to shop early for your Holiday gifts, including some great new merchandise.
While no release date was given just yet, stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog, the term “this fall” was said a lot. With a lot of new fun options this could be the year where everyone gets a Disney gift or even a Disney ornament as they are focusing on some fun ones including the Disney Heroines handbags and the Disney Racers cars.
The must haves for many are the collections that continue from year to year. For me it is fun Disney pins, but for others they love the Dooney & Bourke bags.
Other items included a light up Beauty and the Beast bell jar ornament, some great Hanukkah items, and holiday ear hats.
No holiday celebration would be complete without some sweet treats. We had Amorette’s Patisserie and The Ganachery on hand to offer samples of some of the Christmas in July (they will also be available in November/December) offerings.
And the holiday season would not be complete without some spectacle entertainment and Santa’s helper and Show Director for Walt Disney World, Tom Vazzana was there to give us a peek as to what is coming.
Tom let us know of many things returning for this upcoming Holiday Season including Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which will feature more characters and more fireworks this year. There was also a tease of 2 new things coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the holiday season, but we will have to wait to find out what those are.
Disney Springs will also receive a Holiday makeover which will include the return and expansion of the Tree Trail, This year it feature 25 trees this year and Santa’s Chalet is moving over to that area to make it the ultimate destination for everything Christmas.
Over at Epcot we will see the return of Holiday’s Around the World and long standing tradition Candlelight Processional, to see who is already announced click HERE.
One change coming to Epcot’s Holiday’s Around the World will be in the Mexico Pavilion where as over the past few years the entertainment has changed from the Three Kings to the Mariachi Band playing Christmas music. This year there will be a celebration of Las Posadas.
The Magic Kingdom will see the return of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party with a bit of a change you can read HERE. One of the secrets Tom shared with us is Christmas will be taking over all day in the Magic Kingdom including the much loved Trolley Show and Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! But keep your EARS open for any more announcements!
