Welcome to the final season of Star Wars Rebels. After getting to know our heroes and the crew of The Ghost, it is a bit bittersweet to know that our time with our Rebels family is coming to a close. However, if the most recent episode is any indication, we have a lot more emotional stories to experience before the Rebels saga is complete.
In the two-part season premiere, Sabine leads Ezra, Kanan and an army of her fellow Mandalorians back to her home world to rescue her father from the clutches of the Empire. This episode really furthers Sabine’s story as we learn about her Imperial past as well as seemingly wrapping up her association with the Darksaber. We also get to see a lot more of Mandalore than has been customary while also meeting Sabine’s father for the first time.
If this episode is any indication, the final season will be dense with a lot of plot and character development to give us the satisfying series conclusion we are all hoping for. While some have criticized the series in the past for having throw away episodes, this season appears to be sending a signal that Season 4 will feature no filler.
