As we continue look ahead to 2018, each day we will pick an upcoming project from the parks, movies, and tv and share if we “pick it” or “kick it.” Please feel free to share your thoughts, and which one you are most excited about.
Parks
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will be expanding to six weeks in 2018. The culinary celebration will kick off March 2nd and run through April 12th. It’s promised that the 2018 festival will have more than a dozen marketplaces, demonstrations by chefs like Robert Irvine and Alex Guarnaschelli, beer and wine seminars, live music and entertainment, and more. Additionally, one new event added to this year’s signature line up is the Disney Family of Wines Dinner.

Studio
This Broadway-bound Frozen, a full-length stage work told in two acts, is the first and only incarnation of the tale that expands upon and deepens its indelible plot and themes through new songs and story material from the film’s creators; in fact, this new stage production features more than twice as much music as the film. Like the Disney Theatrical Broadway musicals that have come before it, it is a full evening of theatre running over two hours. You can read Alex’s review of the Denver tryout production here.

Disney has begun production on a reimagined “Muppet Babies” television series, which chronicles the playroom antics of the beloved Kermit the Frog, Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Animal and Miss Nanny. A co-production between Disney Junior, Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media’s Content & Media group, and The Muppets Studio, the CG-animated series is slated to debut on Disney Junior in early 2018.
