Yesterday marked the last day of operation for many Paradise Pier favorites in Disney California Adventure. Today, construction walls went up as the area begins its makeover to emerge this summer as Pixar Pier. Because of this, in addition to the closure of Ariel’s Grotto, Cove Bar, California Screamin’, and more, walls now block the pier from just beyond Toy Story Midway Mania to Silly Symphony Swings, necessitating signs that direct guests to their destination.
While this project may be headlining story of the resort’s construction at the moment, there is some other news to share. First, the Build-a-Bear Workshop in Downtown Disney has now closed to make way for more dining options coming soon.
Speaking of Downtown Disney, new banners are currently being displayed in the district. This artwork is also featured on the DCA maps.
Lastly, with the new year now in full swing, there’s plenty of 2018 merchandise available throughout the resort.
That’s all for now, but stay tuned for more updates from the Disneyland Resort soon.
