Welcome to another Disneyland Resort update, showing you the latest developments at the Happiest Place on Earth. Yesterday marked the 25th anniversary of Mickey’s Toontown, which officially opened on January 24th, 1993. To celebrate, some special characters made appearances and trading cards were handed out to guests visiting the wacky (and quite photogenic) land:
Not far from the enterance to Toontown, “it’s a small world” is currently closed to not only remove the holiday overlay the ride gets every winter but to also change the attraction’s queue. In fact, work will be going on in the Small World area to make it easier for guests to travel through the area — especially during parade times:
Another classic attraction undergoing a refurbishment is Dumbo. This Disneyland favorite will also be reconfiguring its queue and will add a much-needed shaded structure:
Across the Esplanade, Disney California Adventure is gearing up for their annual Lunar New Year celebration. The festivities will kick off tomororw, January 26th:
Finally, as we head out of the parks, Splitsville is currently holding previews for special events, but is set to open to the public on January 29th. If you think this new enterainment spot is just for bowling, you’ll definitely want to check out their diverse menu as well:
That’s all for now, but stay tuned for more updates from the Disneyland Resort soon!
