Valentine’s Day is all about love and romance. Whether you’re going on your first date, or just happy to have an excuse to go on an actual date, we’ve got some ideas of how you can spend this day of love at the Happiest Place on Earth. Most restaurants and special experiences require advance reservations and may be fully booked at this point, however, you can always celebrate an early or late Valentine’s Day or think ahead for next year!
Spa Treatments
Relax with your other half at Disney’s Senses Spa and enjoy all sorts of indulgent treatments. From facials and massages to pedicures and exfoliating peels, you’ll walk away feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. If you’re not staying on Disney property, consider a romantic week at The Four Seasons Resort Orlando. Guests staying at the Four Seasons can take advantage of their Valentine’s Day specials. Couples booking spa packages on Valentine’s Day will enjoy complimentary wine and truffles along with their spa service. Some packages and treatments include additional sweet specials such a bottle of honey or lip gloss.
The Edison
One of the newest additions to Disney Springs is The Edison. This signature eatery resembles a 1920’s electric company with several themed areas such as The Ember Room, Telegraph Room, The Tesla Lounge, and The Lab. You and your date will enjoy their upscale take on favorites such as tomato soup and grilled cheese, crab cakes, prime rib, and cheeseburgers. Nightly entertainment begins at 10 p.m., so plan to go later in the evening and experience The Edison as it becomes an adults-only “cabaret” with dancers, musicians, and aerialists.
Ferrytale Fireworks Dessert Cruise
What’s more romantic than a fireworks cruise? Watching the night sky light up as you and your partner enjoy drinks and desserts on an exclusive cruise is a very special way to spend your Valentine’s celebration. While you won’t be the only ones on the cruise, you’ll enjoy the magical fireworks display from the water and create memories that last a lifetime. Fireworks cruises set sail on Fridays and Sundays and are a perfect way to extend your Valentine’s observance.
Miniature Golf
Grab your partner and head over to Fantasia Gardens or Winter Summerland and play a round or two of mini golf. Each location has two unique courses to choose from that are fun for golfers of all skill levels. Play competitively or just to have a good time.
Sip Your Way Around the World
Enjoy a relaxing evening at Epcot as you sip your way around World Showcase. With multiple food and beverage kiosks, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to taste delicious beverages from around the world. Wine, Beer, and other non-alcoholic specialties are available for purchase. Compare notes on what you like best and learn a little more about each other as you venture through World Showcase.
Dining Package to Disney on Broadway Series
If you and your date love show tunes, consider planning an early or late Valentine’s Day date at Epcot. This year at the International Festival of the Arts you can enjoy the Disney on Broadway concert series. Each concert features performances of songs from Broadway shows such as Beauty and Beast, Tarzan, and The Lion King. Booking a dining package at select Epcot restaurants will include guaranteed seating to one of the concerts. Dining packages are available Fridays through Mondays during the festival.
Fork & Screen at AMC
Dinner and movie is a common date idea, but what if you could do both at the same time? Look no further than the Fork & Screen Theaters at AMC 24 at Disney Springs. Reserve your seats when you purchase your tickets and get to the theater early. Full meal options from appetizers and entrees to desserts and snacks are available. A server will take your order before the movie and bring it to you once the film starts. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy the show! You can even stop by McGuffin’s bar and enjoy a cocktail or soft drink prior to the movie.
Exquisite Desserts and Shopping
Who doesn’t love chocolate and ice cream? A sweet date at Disney Springs starts with splitting an Intense Dark Sundae – try a Midnight Reverie or Mint Bliss – at the Ghirardelli Chocolate and Ice Cream Shop. Then visit the store to mix and match a bag of your favorite chocolates. Don’t forget to get your free sample! If you prefer something other than ice cream, visit Amorette’s Patisserie or The Ganachery for an incredible array of elegant desserts. Finally, make your way through Disney Springs and do your Valentine’s Day shopping together — no gift receipt necessary!
Coca-Cola Store
You know all of those bottles that say “Share a Coke with…”? Perhaps Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to share a soft drink with your sweetheart at the Coca-Cola Store located at Disney Springs. Atop this shop is a rooftop bar where you can grab a glass of your favorite beverage or try a sampler of flavors from around the world. Best of all, this patio will give you a great view of Disney Springs to enjoy with the one you love.
Signature Restaurant Dining
While most restaurants on property are booked for Valentine’s Day, plan ahead for next year to dine at a signature restaurant in the hotels or parks. We recommend California Grill at the Contemporary. Not only is it on top of the hotel, but you can step outside and view the Happily Ever After Fireworks as part of your dining experience. For an elegant dinner, Victoria and Albert’s at Grand Floridian is another great option. Your dinner will include several prix fixe courses prepared to perfection by talented chefs. If you’re planning to visit Epcot, check out Monsieur Paul in the France pavilion or Le Cellier in Canada. Our other favorite restaurants are Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club, Artist’s Point at Wilderness Lodge, Hollywood Brown Derby at Hollywood Studios, Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Citricos at Grand Floridian.
Disney’s BoardWalk
Take a stroll along the BoardWalk at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Villas, then enjoy a signature dinner at Flying Fish Cafe. After dinner, head over to Jellyrolls for drinks and dueling pianos or Atlantic Dance for cocktails and dancing. Before you leave, make one final stop at Ample Hills Creamy for an ice cream treat or BoardWalk Bakery for pastries.
