How awesome was Black Panther?! I don’t know about you, but I’m absolutely loving Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe! The latest installment takes us to Wakanda where we catch up with T’Challa after the events of Civil War. What’s even better than following up with his story, is meeting his family, council, and countrymen and discovering their way of life. Now that you’ve seen Black Panther, here are some fun things that you need.
Please note that some items may contain spoilers for the film. If you want to be completely surprised, check back after you’ve seen the movie.
Vibranium Gauntlets
T’Challa’s younger sister, Shuri, is the brilliant mind behind some of Wakanda’s incredible tech. Whether they are protecting their room or backyard, your kids can always be on their guard with these Nerf Vibranium Gauntlets.
Kimoyo Bead Bracelet
With incredible science at work in Wakanda, controlling weapons, armor and more is possible at the touch of a bead. This replica bracelet won’t let you start your car or change your clothes into armor, but it will look fantastic! Each bead is engraved with Wankandan glyphs and the main bead has a blue enamel that glows in the dark.
Rhino Face-Off LEGO Set
The latest addition to LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Collection is the battle scene from Black Panther. Featuring mini figures of T’Challa, Okoye, and Killmonger, kids can recreate the desperate attempt to protect Wakanda’s vibranium from falling into dangerous hands. This set is recommended for 6-12-year-olds, but can also be enjoyed by kids at heart.
Royal Talon Fighter Attack
Another awesome collection from LEGO is the Royal Talon Fighter Attack. While it doesn’t come from a scene in the movie, it brings together several incredible elements. This fighter jet set puts you in charge of the action and allows you to make your own storyline. The possibilities are endless! This set includes four mini figures: T’Challa in his Black Panther suit, Nakia with her disc blades, Ulysses Klaue with a robotic arm, and Killmonger – complete with his mask!
Funko POP! Figures
Let’s just face it: our Funko POP! Collections are only going to get bigger. Once you acquired that first figure you knew you were in it for the long haul. Make room on your shelves for Killmonger, Shuri, and Black Panther!
Erik Killmonger is not only one of the MCU’s best villains, he’s also one of the best dressed. With his signature hairstyle and military clothing, it’s clear he’s not to be messed with. What really sets him apart? That tribal mask! If you’re lucky you just might end up with the “chase variant” version of the figure that has Erik wearing the mask. We’re “feeling it”!
Shuri might be T’Challa’s younger sister, but she’s no less a hero. Smart, resourceful, brave, and a fighter, she’s is easily one of the best characters in the MCU and my new favorite. Shuri’s figure features a bobblehead and is dressed for battle, wearing a warrior costume and vibranium gauntlets.
Ever since T’Challa made his debut, we knew we were in for a treat. He seamlessly mixes diplomacy, passion, and strength as he protects what he loves. Taking on the roles of king and hero is not an easy combination as both require thought and strategy, but T’Challa rises to the challenge. This figure is dressed in his Black Panther costume (with extended claws!) and again if you’re lucky, the chase variant features him with his mask.
If you really want Black Panther and Killmonger wearing their masks, you can opt for the mini figures pack. Each pack features three 1½ “ tall figures with T’Challa, Erik, and a mystery character.
Lexus LC 500
Ok, ok, this is stretching it a bit, but if you have the money and need a vehicle upgrade…
In the film we’re treated to a thrilling, heart racing, car chase in South Korea. In the epic scene, the Black Panther rides ON TOP of a Lexus LC 500 while his sister operates it remotely from Wakanda! Don’t try this at home, kids.
