Disney•Pixar’s Incredibles 2 hit theaters last summer, 14-years after the original film debuted. With such a big gap between films, it beat the odds and became the highest grossing animated film of all time! And now it can be yours to watch from any device with the Digital HD release.
The fun starts where the first film left off, with the Parr family teaming up as the Incredibles to stop the Underminer. Their good intentioned attempt to stop a villain ends up getting them in big trouble, with the super hero program being shut down for good. On their own again, Bob and Helen are seduced by a wealthy fan who wants to restore public trust in supers.
One of the reasons the film works so well is the fun reversal between traditional parent roles. Elastigirl is chosen as the hero that can help renew public trust and is sent out on assignments while Mr. Incredible stays home with the kids. But they will learn that they are all stronger together when they work as a family.
The sequel improves on the original in many ways and the film benefits from having a lot more Jack Jack. The adorable baby stole the show in the original film, but was such a small part. Some of the sequel’s biggest laughs come from characters reacting to Jack Jack’s explosion of powers, with new ones popping up here and there.
This digital release contains hours of bonus features that take you behind the scenes, including a brand-new animated short. The theatrical short Bao is here, too, along with its own bonus feature. Fans waiting for Blu-Ray can bring it home on November 6th, but fans ditching discs can enjoy it today.

Video
With amazing details and a wide color spectrum, Incredibles 2 looks fantastic in a 1080p streaming copy through iTunes viewed on an Apple TV. Some of the fast action sequences will certainly look better on Blu-Ray, but those are the only shots with a noticeable difference.
Audio
The digital copy is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1, a robust mix that makes great use of rear speakers for sound effects and ambient sounds. It also includes a stereo Spanish track.
