Disney Springs – World of Disney
What happens when Disney Imagineers find an “abandoned farmers market that some Disney Animators took over to create the Marketplace Animation Annex?” They transform it into the newly reimagined World of Disney. For the better part of the past year, the World of Disney at Disney Springs has been undergoing a grand reimagining, transforming the largest Disney store in the world from a maze of rooms that has been virtually the same since early this century to a new, wide-open space containing all the Disney Magic (in merchandise form) under one roof. Today, we had the chance to speak with Alysia Kelly, Vice President Visual Merchandise, as she explained the inspiration behind the new look for the store and some of the magical touches.
