The Christmas Beagle is back! Last week we spent some time exploring the evening-time holiday happenings around Knott’s Berry Farm‘s annual Knott’s Merry Farm yuletide celebration, and over this past weekend we returned to the park to experience what the event has to offer during the day.
Unfortunately, Knott’s has a strict no-video policy for many of its live performances during regular (non-media) days of the Merry Farm season, but I did manage to record a good example of the kind of kid-friendly entertainment available around the park during this time of year. “A Peanuts Guide to Christmas” is one of Knott’s Merry Farm’s smaller-scale shows, hosted in the Peanuts-themed Camp Snoopy area of Knott’s Berry Farm. The production features the characters Charlie Brown, his sister Sally, Lucy and Linus van Pelt, and of course Snoopy himself as they sing and joke about Christmas traditions.
Watch “A Peanuts Guides to Christmas” at Knott’s Merry Farm 2018:
“The holiday season celebration continues at the Camp Snoopy Theatre, with the show ‘A Peanuts Guide to Christmas’. The Peanuts give their take and unique wisdom in a primer designed to help everyone survive the holidays. The show features delightful mash-ups of holiday songs with a cheerful and heartwarming dose of the Peanuts gang. After the show, head right next door to the Peanuts Meet and Greet Area to take a picture with your favorite character.”
We also stopped by the park’s Charles M. Schulz Theatre for the always-impressive “Merry Christmas, Snoopy” ice skating show, which is undoubtedly the highlight of Knott’s Merry Farm each year.
The famous Bird Cage Theatre in Ghost Town plays home to delightful short play adaptations of “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens and “The Gift of the Magi” by O. Henry.
There’s plenty more to see and do around Knott’s Merry Farm, including decorations, shopping, photo ops, Santa’s Christmas Cabin, and several other live shows. Check out our previous report for additional coverage of this season’s event.
Knott’s Merry Farm runs from now through Sunday, January 6 at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, California. For more information and advance ticketing resources, be sure to visit Knott’s official website.
