It’s that time of year again at SeaWorld San Diego. The Southern California aquatic-themed animal park and aquarium’s annual SeaWorld Christmas Celebration has begun, and with it come Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and his friends, including Santa Claus himself!
This past weekend I was invited to experience the SeaWorld San Diego Christmas Preview Party, and during the event attendees were treated to the fun and colorful “Rudolph’s Tree Lighting Ceremony,” which features live music, dancing elves, and of course the most famous reindeer of all.

Guests were then shepherded into SeaWorld’s Nautilus Amphitheater for “O Wondrous Night,” a reverent and toe-tapping retelling of the nativity starring a jubilant choir, plus a wide variety of puppets and live animals.

Finally, we were offered the opportunity to explore the Rudolph’s Christmastown and Santa’s Christmas Village seasonal themed areas of the park, which are both decked with festive holiday decorations, cheerful merchandise shopping, and food and dessert options tied in with the most wonderful time of the year. And don’t forget to stick around for the snow!
