Today is National Tequila Day. With that, let’s take a look at La Cava del Tequila De San Angel Inn in Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion. Walt Disney World’s only in-park Tequila bar opened in 2009 inside Mexico’s iconic pyramid. La Cava del Tequila (translated: The Cellar of Tequila) features more than 200 tequilas, cocktails and Mexican beer and wine.
La Cava also gives guests the opportunity to learn about tequila and its history. The murals around the lounge show the story of how tequila, which originated in the town of Tequila, Mexico, is made. The tequila connoisseurs at La Cava are more than happy to educate guests on the rich tradition and heritage of tequila making.
So, the next time you’re considering a break from the Heat of Epcot, stop into La Cava del Tequila and enjoy some chips and guacamole or queso along with one of the gifts of Mexico – especially if it’s July 24th: National Tequila Day.
