Looking for a place to “wine down” during your visit to The Happiest Place On Earth? Just steps outside the world-famous theme parks at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California sits Catal Restaurant & Uva Bar in the Downtown Disney District shopping and dining area. And beginning tomorrow, Catal is adding new menu items to its Happy Hour offerings.
Seven days a week (from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday at Uva Bar and 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM every day at Catal Restaurant), Catal Restaurant & Uva Bar offers a Happy Hour rest from the fun of Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, and the Downtown Disney District. Then on Wednesdays only, guests can enjoy half-price bottles of wine and pitchers of sangria at Catal. “Boasting an extensive list of sparkling, white, rosé, and red wines from all over the world, guests can sip on everything from a dry German Riesling to a smooth Spanish merlot.”
This week I had the wonderful opportunity to attend a “Wine Down Wednesday” media tasting event at Catal Restaurant, and those present were able to try out new Happy Hour menu items such as Signature Sliders, Ahi Bruschetta, Deviled Eggs, and very classy-looking Chicken and Waffles. Beverages included the Vojito, Old Fashioned, Mega cocktails, and House Margarita. Everyone in attendance on Wednesday enjoyed the samples quite a bit, and the view overlooking Uva Bar and the busy walkways of Downtown Disney is absolutely perfect for people-watching.
