Hundreds of Star Wars fans gathered at World of Disney at Disney Springs last night for the midnight release of new Star Wars merchandise. As part of the Triple Force Friday celebration new Star Wars the Rise of Skywalker, The Mandalorian, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order items and collectables went on sale and fans couldn’t be more excited.

While we attended the special event at Walt Disney World, other retailers around the country also hosted Triple Force Friday shopping events and midnight launches. However, over in Disneyland, fans were extremely disappointed to learn that none of the new The Black Series toys or figures were available.
But back to Walt Disney World. Our evening started at 6pm where we picked up numbered wristbands and were told that lineups would being around 11pm. We took this time to grab some dinner and leisurely walk around Disney Springs before heading back to join the line. We were in the second group of 100 people so we had a bit of a wait, but nothing unbearable. I was pleased to see that guests were let in promptly at midnight.
Once we got inside, there was another 10 minute wait as only 6-10 guests were welcomed to begin their shopping at one time. As each wave of shoppers was released, lightsaber-wielding Cast Members cheered us in.
Now on to the merch! Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker had dozens of merchandise items, while Disney+’s The Mandalorian featured a few shirts, toys, and a LEGO set, and Jedi: Fallen Order had a mere two figures. Those hoping to shop online can purchase select on shopDisney and HasbroPulse.com.

The good folks at the LEGO store were in on the fun too and even had a few new Star Wars sets that weren’t at World of Disney.
LEGO Master Builders were doing live builds of several of large sets including the Imperial Star Destroyer.
And finally to get fans involved in the excitement, LEGO is featuring a mosaic group build with a mysterious Star Wars image. We added our two blocks and can’t wait to see the end result!
ICYMI: Yesterday was also Frozen Fan Fest! Just like Triple Force Friday, dozens of Frozen 2 merchandise items made their grand debut and are available at mass retailers.
