Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary is just days away, but guests can already get started on shopping for commemorative merchandise at Disney Springs! The Walt Disney World Vault Collection has arrived at Marketplace Co-Op and this assortment of items calling back to the resort’s earliest days has us feeling nostalgic.
With the big day nearly here, our team headed out to Disney Springs for a look at the new displays and photo spot promoting the Vault Collection.
Many of the styles are inspired by the items that were available ahead of the park opening, including those found at the Preview Center, just a short drive from the soon to open Magic Kingdom.
Among the collection are baseball t-shirts, and coffee mugs with the Preview Center logo that features Pluto, Mickey Mouse, Br’er Bear, King Louie, Donald Duck, The White Rabbit, Goofy, and Winnie the Pooh.
Fans can pick up traditional style lunch boxes too that showcase Mickey and Friends in front of Magic Kingdom on one side and the Country Bears on the other.
Another display spotlights more shirts including a design of Mickey Mouse and the state of Florida with a Castle logo to indicate the Resort’s location. Other items spotted here are plates and placemats, and the first Ear Hats and Ear Headbands!
Modern meets retro on the new MagicBand and pin selections, but what we’re really loving are the orange, yellow, and blue bucket hats!
We’re getting serious 70’s vibes from the Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride and “it’s a small world” t-shirts, and while we’re browsing this selection it’s fun to reminisce about the opening day attractions…suddenly I’m craving an Aloha Swirl. I wonder why?
More Mickey Mouse tees are on display highlighting the main big cheese and Cinderella castle. Nearby, guests will also notice some stark white Loungefly bags accented with mouse ears. It also comes with a small handbag to match. So cute!
For the commuters or those who want a traveling hot beverage, these Starbucks mugs are an amazing option! Each features a design for the four parks, but in the style of the original Walt Disney World gift bags and promotional materials. And there are some companion pins too!
Before you leave, be sure to snap a picture by the Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride car in all it’s yellow, blue, and orange glory!
And finally to finish off our visit, we picked up one of the new 50th Anniversary reusable bags. We love the royal blue background, but it’s the iridescent logo and trim that make this bad a real winner!
Happy 50th Anniversary Walt Disney World! Thank you for so many decades of magic!
